TEAMING UP? Adele and Lady Gaga are might record a female anthem together.
Adele and Lady Gaga are apparently teaming up to record a female anthem.
The superstars both enjoy massive musical success and are reportedly set to join forces in the New Year.
Adele, who has been busy with her two-year-old son Angelo, is already penning the track, reveals a source.
"Adele and Lady Gaga have become random friends and often speak on the phone. Adele's a massive fan of Lady Gaga's voice and thinks she's underrated as an actual singer-songwriter. The plan is to get in the studio together in LA in the New Year," an insider told British newspaper Daily Star.
"Adele has started work on a song she thinks would make a perfect piano-led duet. It's early days and there's no guarantee it will make the album. Adele will only release it if it's brilliant and does them both justice but it certainly has the potential to be a classic."
Gaga has already had a mammoth year, with her ArtRave: The Artpop Ball tour kicking off in America in May and ending later this month in France. She's also recorded jazz album Cheek to Cheek with legendary crooner Tony Bennett and the pair loved working together.
"It was a wonderful experience. The minute we started rehearsing I said, 'Oh my god, this lady is a beautiful singer,'" Tony smiled to British TV show This Morning.
"The fans I've met love the album, they love everything on it." The album is jam packed with smooth jazz grooves, and they bonded over their shared cultural heritage.
"First of all we're both Italian Americans, so I understand her," Tony explained when asked if there had been any creative differences.
"That's a fact," Gaga added with a smile.
